Dear colleagues, friends, patients and family,
We have been very busy at the office making updates to our systems that we hope will make your experience as patients more efficient.
Firstly our reminder system is more robust. Expect to receive a text, email and voice message to remind you of your upcoming visit. Secondly, beginning this week, you should be receiving a text two weeks prior to your upcoming appointment with a link to an intake form. You will fill out the form online, updating your insurance information and health history as needed. This information will go directly into your electronic medical record. The online forms are quick and easy to fill out and should really help save time at your visits!
We continue to give back to our local communities by hosting educational events at city recreational centers about eye diseases and the importance of eye health examinations. I am also teaching at two upcoming national meetings, the Women in Ophthalmology meeting (yoga and ergonomics for microsurgeons) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (instructor – cataract surgery phacoemulsification lab).
