EVO ICL at Akler Eye Center
Akler Eye Center is pleased to introduce the EVO implantable contact lens. This is a vision correcting procedure for people who are moderately nearsighted with or without astigmatism who may not be candidates for laser vision correction due to conditions such as thinner cornea or abnormal corneal contour. The procedure involves implanting a biocompatible contact lens in front of the natural lens. The contact lens is precisely measured for your eye to fully correct the vision. The procedure is quick and painless and the vision is typically quite good the day after the procedure. A thorough examination and testing at Akler Eye Center would determine if you are a candidate.
I originally went in years ago for a LASIK consultation but was told I wasn’t a candidate due to my thin corneas. I put it off for a while, but recently consulted with Dr. Akler about ICL surgery. I’ll admit I was hesitant — as someone who works in a highly skilled profession where visual acuity and precision are absolutely critical, I had real concerns about any kind of eye surgery. But Dr. Akler gave me all the time and information I needed to come to a decision comfortably.
Fast forward to today: I couldn’t be happier that I moved forward with ICL surgery under Dr. Akler’s care. My vision is now 20/15 and better than I ever imagined. Not only has this procedure enhanced my quality of life, but it has truly elevated my ability to perform at the highest level in my work. I no longer have to suffer through the discomfort of contact lenses and the eventual complications they carry with long term use. All those concerns about performing in my line of work I had before have completely vanished. I’m beyond grateful for Dr. Akler’s expertise, professionalism, and the outstanding results.
