Dear friends, patients and family,
I know I am not the only one who will be happy to say goodbye to 2020 – a year that has greatly challenged us all.
Looking back, I am very proud of all of us as we adapted to the conditions imposed by the virus as an office and as a community. Because of our strict office protocols, we have been able to see all of you in the safest and most efficient manner possible.
We have been very busy in both the office and the surgical suite and have been excited to continue to offer up-to-the-minute treatments for our patients. Our practice was one of few chosen to offer the Vivity (TM) extended-depth-of-focus lens for cataract patients and have had excellent results and patient satisfaction with it thus far. This will be the topic of the first newsletter of 2021.
I am also thrilled to share that I received my first dose of the coronavirus vaccine (Pfizer) on December 21, 2020. The only side effect I experienced was a sore arm that lasted for one day. I can’t wait for my second shot in early January – one small step towards putting COVID-19 in the rear view mirror.
I wish you and your families all the best during this holiday season and a very happy new year!
